IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW PRIOR TO POWDER COATING
Cleaning of Parts: Please make sure your parts are degreased, clean and dry. Any parts that come to our
shop and are not in a clean, degreased state will incur an additional preparation fee.
What to Remove: Make sure there are no: bushings, bearings, seals, races, rubber, plastic, valve stems,
weights or labels with your parts. We can remove these items, but note that these will incur additional dissassembly fees. Any bearings removed by us will be saved for part reference by
the customer, but should be replaced upon re-installation.
Sand and Media Blasting: Most parts require Media Blasting and hand sanding prior to powder coating.
Blasting charges vary due to the complexities and size of the part to be blasted.
Chemical Stripping- Whenever possible we chemical
strip all previously powder coated parts, on larger parts the cost may be included in the overall price (wheels), and smaller parts may have an additional charge.
Masking: We are very familiar with what needs to be masked and will automatically do this. When required we
will use silicon plugs and high temperature tape. If you have a specific request, please let us know.
